About
At Waller Wine Consulting, my mission is to empower wineries to reach their fullest potential through tailored, innovative, and cost-efficient winemaking solutions. I believe the best wines are created where artistry meets science—where tradition is respected, yet the future is embraced. By fostering sustainable practices, improving vineyard health, and refining cellar techniques, I help clients craft wines that authentically express their terroir and vision, while optimizing resources and controlling costs. My goal is to build long-term partnerships, providing hands-on expertise, guidance, and support at every stage of the winemaking process to create wines of integrity, character, and distinction—without compromising financial efficiency.
I am a seasoned winemaker with over two decades of experience crafting exceptional wines and building sustainable winery operations. Based in California’s wine country, I have led award-winning brands and implemented innovative, scalable winemaking practices across diverse regions and production models.
Professional Journey
In 2016, I became the founding Winemaker at Eden Rift Vineyards, where I helped transform the estate into a globally recognized brand. During my tenure, the winery was named one of Wine & Spirits’ “Top 100 Wineries in the World,” earned multiple 95+ point wines, grew production to 15,000 cases annually, and adopted ISO 9000 protocols to drive operational excellence, consistency, and efficiency.
Prior to Eden Rift, I honed my craft at renowned wineries including Calera Wine Company, Soter Vineyards, JK Carriere, and Bergström Winery, developing deep expertise in vineyard management, lab analysis, cellar operations, and sustainability-focused production. My international experience at Neudorf Vineyards and Martinborough Vineyards in New Zealand further broadened my global perspective and reinforced my belief in terroir-driven, site-specific winemaking.
